1 · Padlocked nav item

When the module is available but not enabled for this cashbook, the nav item stays visible in its natural place (Accounting dropdown) with a padlock. Clicking it opens the enable modal — no trip to organisation settings. Replica of the open dropdown:

Enabled state: normal item, no padlock. Pennant flag off: item absent entirely (rollout kill-switch).

Mobile menu (same rule, drawer layout)

Tap targets stay full-row height; the padlock replaces the chevron. Tapping opens the same enable modal.

2 · Enable modal — three variants

Shown side by side here; in the product only one appears, chosen by role and trial state.

Owner · billing active

Enable Fixed Assets?

Tui Bakery Ltd will get access immediately. Adds $2.00 + GST / month to your subscription — your next invoice includes a prorated charge for the rest of July.

Owner · organisation on trial

Enable Fixed Assets?

Tui Bakery Ltd will get access immediately. Free until 1 Aug while your organisation is on trial — then $2.00 + GST / month, billed with your cashbooks.

Member (not owner)

Fixed Assets is not enabled

This cashbook doesn't have the Fixed Assets module ($2.00 + GST / month). Ask your organisation owner, Sarah Beacham, to enable it.

2b · Turn off & undo confirmations

Turning a module off keeps it active (and billed) until the end of the paid month; the removal can be undone until then at no cost.

Turn off

Turn off Fixed Assets?

Southern Cross Landscaping Ltd keeps access until 31 Jul (already paid). After that the register locks and automated depreciation stops — asset data is kept. You can undo this until 31 Jul.

Undo removal

Keep Fixed Assets on?

This cancels the scheduled removal for Southern Cross Landscaping Ltd. Nothing changes on your invoice — the module simply stays on at $2.00 + GST / month.

2c · Close & reopen dialog copy (modules mentioned)

Existing dialogs, updated copy: closing also ends module charges; reopening lists the modules that resume so there are no silent charges.

Close cashbook (updated copy)

Close Golden Bay Holiday Park Ltd?

You'll have access until the end of July. From 1 Aug this cashbook — and any modules on it — will no longer be billed.

Reopen cashbook (modules resume)

Reopen Kowhai Consulting Ltd?

Billing resumes at $10.00 + GST / month, prorated for the rest of July. Its previously enabled module also resumes:

  • Fixed Assets$2.00 + GST / mo

2d · Organisation on trial — Modules tab state

The trial is organisation-wide (the Stripe subscription trial), so the whole table is in the free state at once — never mixed with billed rows. Toggles work normally; billing starts 1 Aug.

Your organisation is on trial — everything below is free until 1 Aug, then billing starts at the prices shown.
Cashbook Fixed Assets · $2.00/mo
Fern & Anchor Café Ltd Free until 1 Aug
Rimu Joinery Ltd Off
From 1 Aug: 2 cashbooks × $10.00 + 1 Fixed Assets × $2.00 = $22.00 + GST / month

3 · Locked page (direct URL, bookmark, stale tab)

Replaces the bare 403 when someone opens /fixed-assets on a cashbook without the module — including a cashbook whose module lapsed with data still in it.

Fixed Assets is not enabled for this cashbook

Your 14 registered assets and depreciation history are kept safe, but the register is locked and automated depreciation is paused until the module is re-enabled.

Members see: "Ask your organisation owner to enable this module."

4 · Invoices tab — report generating state

The monthly CSV is generated and stored shortly after Stripe finalises the invoice on the 1st. Until then the newest row shows a generating state instead of the download button.
